Dear
Week-Long Cold, I am so glad you have finally decided
to stop haunting me; I was finally able to sleep through the entire night
without having to wake up and blow my nose. I would say I’m about 95% better
already so if you could just go ahead and move on out by tomorrow morning I
would really appreciate it.Dear Houston
Weather, You are so rude for deciding that rain and thunderstorms are
acceptable weather for the races this weekend. Although I really kind of like
running in the rain I am just getting over being sick for a week so the last
thing I need is to have a set-back because I’m running in the rain. I guess I
should be thankful that you aren’t your usual ungodly humid self.Dear Half Marathon and 5K Goals, Due to
the afore mentioned weather conditions and the sickness I know you will be
extremely hard to achieve, but you really have no idea who you are messing
with. I have my mind made up that I am shooting for a 2:15 half and a 32:00 5K.
Oddly enough that means I need a 10:17 pace average for both days. Hmm, fate
maybe?Dear Road Trip with my best friend,
I am excited for our girl time! I am not sure we have been on a road trip
together and I am really looking forward to it! Road trips and weekend
get-aways are fun and doing it with a friend is even better! I’m excited.Dear bloggers I am planning to meet, I
am so stoked to meet new people and finally meet some of the ones that I’ve
been following/talking to for a while now. I won’t lie that it’s a bit intimidating
to meet new people but at the same time it’s exciting! I also hope that
Preserving PollyAnna and I can push each other to our 2:15 half marathon goals.
She’s got her work cut out for her if she’s going to try to help me but I’ll be
glad for a racing buddy!Dear holiday
weight gain, I think that I have officially rid myself of you; everything
that was put on post marathon is gone! Hallelujah! I’m sure that being sick for
nearly a week is really to blame, goodness knows I haven’t been working out or
running but I really don’t care how you fell off I’m just glad you are gone!Dear marathon training plan, you and I
have had a rough start thanks to the holidays and being sick but I promise come
Monday you and I will be best friends. There will be no more neglect and missed
workouts. I’m excited to start the journey all over again. And I will resume my
weekly workout posts as well come Monday morning!Dear Disney Marathon Runners, Oh my gosh I am so excited for you
guys! I know so many, many people are running this weekend and it’s
overwhelming to see your posts and pictures already. I can honestly say that after
having spent a week a Disney last February I really have no desire whatsoever
to run a Disney race, I just don’t. Call me crazy or heartless or a stick in
the mud but they just aren’t appealing to me at all. However, to say I’m not
jealous would be a complete lie. You all look like you are having so much fun
and you’ve made me start wondering if I could find it in my soul to someday,
possibly, maybe run the Goofy Challenge. Maybe, just maybe. We shall see. The
only way I would find those races worth it would be to do the Goofy Challenge,
but that’s just me. And a very special “Good Luck” to Meghan as she is running
her very first marathon! She is going to absolutely knock it out of the park on
Sunday! Go wish her good luck. And another shout out to our good friend Mr.
Thomas who is also running Disney as he works his way through all 50 States! Dear sweet doggies of mine, I loved
that I could have lots of snuggles with you this week while I was at home sick.
You are very sweet dogs and I’m so glad you are mine.Dear Alex, Thank you for being such a wonderful support system and
encouragement for me. I am so very blessed to have you in my life and I could
not be any more excited for our life together. I am also so proud of how well
you did on the LSAT and as scared as I am of possibly moving I am also just as
excited to see where your offers will take us.

We got this! I'm really excited. I think the cold and the desire to get out of the rain will keep us on track. Have a safe trip down!
Two of my best friends are doing the Goofy Challenge this weekend. Definitely sounds like they are having a great time. I'm not sure I would ever be up for it, but it is an unique opportunity :)

Hope you had a great weekend! The weather has been awful here too. I can't remember the last time we had sunshine.
