The one with cool products

I know I owe you a race report, and one is coming, I’m just trying to sort through pictures. I will say this though, the running we did was great, and we all had a good day. But the race itself was pretty screwed up, worse race I have ever run…now you can’t wait for that report can you? I am also working on my 6-week training plan and hope to find time during lunch to post that.
In the meantime, you will just have to endure this boring post where I talk about the packages that came for me in the mail last week. (I will mention I received nothing for free, nor was I asked by the company to give any type of review, this is just coming from me.)
I have seen on so many different blogs where people talk about this stuff from Mission Athlete Care. It’s skin care products that are made by pro athletes specifically for athletes in mind. Athletes like Serena Williams, Mia Hamm, Amanda Beard and Steve Nash are a few of their major endorsers and marketers (and ANYTHING coming from Steve Nash seems like a good idea to me).  So when I happened upon a Swaggle deal (like Groupon) for $50 worth of products for $25 I for sure swaggled that deal! There were two products that I specifically wanted to try, the Anti-chafe cream and the Maximum strength muscle rub. I was also interested in their facial moisturizer with sunscreen, I am always looking for affordable, yet good moisturizers that don’t make me greasy, because that happens enough on its own! I was able to order all three of those products, plus the Ultra sweat-proof SPF 30+ sunscreen and the Skinny tone Ultra-firming cream. And I got all of it for only $25!!

I immediately whipped out the facial moisturizer and have been using it for about a week now. I’m not super impressed beyond words, BUT it’s very light weight and doesn’t seem to make me any more greasy than I already am. It also has SPF 30+ in it and for the affordable price of $9.99 it seems like a keeper in my daily routine for sure!
I also used the Anti-Chafe cream this weekend at the race and that seemed to work really well. I was hot and super sweaty, yet when I was done running I could still feel the cream where I had put it on, score! I was hoping though that since my thighs were going to rub together more easily then this might make me faster, but that is not the case and so therefore would be my only complaint with this product.
I have yet to try the other three products but I am so far happy with my deal that I’ve found.
The second glorious package that ended up at my door is my tech-shirt from Shut Up And Run! Love, love, love her blog and her honesty and her sheer determination. SUAR is a great motivator for me to just get out there and do it. So I’m super excited to sport this really cute running shirt!!!

And a couple new things for The Unlikely Runners, if you are reading this in google reader or have it emailed to you, check out the actual website because I've made a few cool changes. I'm loving the new header! I also in a moment of insanity signed up for twitter, so you can follow the Unlikelyrunners and see our tweets!!! You will have to fogive me though since I have no idea what I'm doing on that thing!
